700 Club is working alongside Darlington Borough Council, Durham Constabulary and other local partners to help people who are begging on the streets of Darlington.
The partnership focuses on understanding why people beg, engaging directly with individuals and connecting them with the support they need, including help with homelessness, addiction and healthcare.
As part of the campaign, John Elliston from 700 Club highlighted the importance of supporting people in ways that can help them move towards a safer and more stable future.
The initiative encourages members of the public who are concerned about someone begging to report their concerns so that appropriate services can make contact and offer support.
