A workplace giving initiative at Teesside University provided a welcome boost to the 700 Club and its work supporting vulnerable people in Darlington.
The charity was nominated to receive funding through the University’s Be The Change scheme, which enables staff to support charities and community organisations making a difference across the Tees Valley.
The £500 donation was directed towards the 700 Club’s work at The Lodge, where people facing homelessness and a range of complex challenges could access short-term accommodation and support.
The original Teesside University story also looks at the development of the 700 Club, its approach to helping people achieve lasting independence, and why a member of University staff nominated the charity for support.
